Job Description

You are responsible for leading the Finance and Commercial function at a country level whilst contributing to the business's ongoing development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership of the Finance and Commercial function, assuming responsibility for all aspects of governance, planning and control, working closely with any colleagues.
  • Understand where and how the business creates value.
  • Continually challenge the business to improve financial, commercial, and operational performance and ensure management responds quickly and effectively to any problems or adverse trends.
  • Challenge and support the Commercial teams to understand customer profitability better and support the development of the overall volume growth, pricing, and margin strategy.
  • Challenge and support the Operational teams to understand asset performance, productivity, and paper efficiency.
  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with a demonstrated ability to listen, interpret, influence, negotiate, inspire, and challenge.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, ensuring tight financial control is maintained over the business in relation to key financial performance indicators.
  • Champion the drive to reduce working capital across the business, ensuring the development and execution of plans to deliver agreed targets.
  • Guide and control capital expenditure and working capital within the business to support the management of the overall cash position.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all support functions and promote the development of shared services across the business where appropriate.
  • Act as a visible role model within the business and inherently champion a performance culture.
  • Develop the talent within the team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • 5+ years of proven experience in audit and accounting in a matrix multinational environment
  • Result-oriented, having a track record of high performance and examples of delivering improvements to the top and bottom line
  • Previous leadership experience and management of teams
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of an organization
  • Advanced Excel skills and PPT skills, able to draw conclusions and influence decisions
  • Sound analytical skills, with the ability to add actionable insight to data
  • Problem-solving focus
