Job Description

The Director, M&A Finance Integration position is responsible for leading large Finance M&A Integration projects, combining extensive hands-on experience in finance, change management and techniques for problem-solving with a strong drive for results. Mobilizes & leads a cross functional finance team that is responsible for successful due diligence, integration planning and execution for all company M&A deals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages finance team who are responsible for the delivery of multiple M&A deals being closed and integrated into finance organization.
  • Serves as the primary contact and escalation point for any staffing, bandwidth, resource, or delivery issues within relevant deal.
  • May provide support in assigning resources (guest resources and Subject Matter Experts) to deal.
  • Develops M&A finance integration methodology utilizing M&A integration best practices and project management disciplines.
  • Certifies successful deal closure that is in line with the broader goals and objectives of the business investment.
  • Identifies organizational change management impacts.
  • Provides successful oversight of execution activities to ensure adoption and adherence to the standardized process and methodology.
  • Provides the support and builds processes and tools needed by the team to enable successful deal execution and integration planning and implementation.
  • Elaborates on finance specific project plans including timelines, budgets, business cases, and resource planning in alignment with overall M&A deal.
  • Ensures that there is proper signoff on all key deliverables.
  • Supports VP M&A Finance Integration and Finance leadership in strategic analysis and proposal on how best to integrate acquired companies into standard finance operating model, processes, and tech stack.
  • Ensures compliance to M&A playbook and M&A finance integration framework across all deals globally.
  • Applies consistent governance over M&A deals to ensure proper risk management, transparency and predictability in M&A due diligence and integration efforts.
  • Produces effective progress reports and communication mechanisms to keep stakeholders appraised of the status, major risks and issues, budgets, and milestone achievements or misses, including value realization and budgeting.
  • Manages resource allocations and profiles across M&A deals ensuring appropriate resources are adequately distributed.
  • Implements metrics to measure value realization, synergies, operational performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates and consults with other functional work streams, including Corporate Development team, Integration Management Office (IMO) and key stakeholders to clarify and define requirements, budgets, and business cases to align with strategic objectives.
  • Promotes transparency and collaboration across all stakeholders, departments and external vendors
  • Leads and develops an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and rewards and recognition.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
  • Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
  • Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
  • Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team.
  • Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with direct experience in M&A due diligence or global finance integration projects. Strong program management experience preferred.
  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong business acumen and management principles involved in cross functional planning, resource allocation, leadership and coordination of people and resources.
  • Broad Solution Architecture knowledge and skills.
