Job Description
  • Financial management of the UK region and associated individual legal entities
  • Preparing and submitting all UK financial accounting requirements
  • Ensuring all external (legal and tax) and internal (reporting and controlling) requirements are met in the appropriate time
  • Performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and coordinating and assigning duties to the UK finance team as needed
  • Partnering with the Managing Director, UK to accomplish key objectives and KPIs
  • Reviewing and approving Journal Entries
  • Reviewing the region’s monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensuring proper application of US and UK GAAP
  • Ensuring controls are designed and operating effectively to comply with SOX
  • Supporting and business partnering the engineering team, especially with Stock and capital expenditure
  • Coordinating the relevant external experts (tax advisors, chartered accountants, tax auditors)
  • Supporting management of and timely closure of both internal and external audits
  • Tax agenda and cash flow management
  • Managing the financial aspects of key external relationships with retail clients
  • Assisting the HR Director with monthly payroll reviews and sign-offs, as well as with any adhoc PAYE matters including P11ds and PSAs
  • Working collaboratively with the Director of Marketing on the company’s digital journey, ensuring accuracy and controls are in place at all times along with seeking new opportunities to remain best in class
  • Representing the Company in communication with third parties, including but not limited to, insurance companies and auditors, as well as with the company US Accounting department
  • Direct cooperation with the management of the Group and the management of individual entities
  • Implementation and execution of internal financial rules, controls, policies, and processes
  • Timely and correct processing of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring all internal and statutory deadlines are met
  • Supporting the delivery of implementation of Oracle in the UK, replacing Business Dynamics
  • Preparing and participating in business unit review meetings
  • Risk identification, preparation and implementation of preventive measures
  • Processing of economic analysis, evaluation of financial indicators, creation of forecasts and trends
  • Project activity with the aim of optimizing the operation
  • Search for new opportunities and possibilities of financial management
  • Providing support to the VP, International Finance in respect of the UK region
  • Working collaboratively with the Finance Directors of Germany and DMI to ensure best practice
  • Recruiting, leading, motivating and developing the UK finance team
  • Other adhoc tasks as required
