Job Description

The Strategic Account Director will work to drive customer opportunities through cross-selling and appropriate account planning as well as working with vendors and partners to develop long term strategies for specific key accounts. When opportunities are identified, the Strategic AD will be required to ensure that tender responses are generated to the highest possible standard to ensure company have the greatest chance of success with any tender based business.
The role will entail developing, maintaining, and expanding customer relationships to meet revenue goals while maintaining end user engagement. In order to ensure regular target achievement, the Strategic AD should develop and maintain required pipeline (3+ x target). 
You will actively manage this process and pursue all such opportunities. On winning a relevant opportunity, the Strategic AD will take appropriate responsibility for working with the internal delivery teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project
You will professionally represent us at all times, working positively and effectively with all supporting resources, both internal and external.
It is an essential part of the role to maintain relevant and current knowledge of all appropriate products within the company, as the relevant competitive products and solutions that solve respective account business needs. This will enable the Strategic AD to understand and analyze detailed and specific customer requirements, and position appropriately to secure new clients.
The Strategic AD will be required to maintain up to date and accurate CRM records in relation to their sales activity and to deliver other appropriate reports to our senior management as required. Adept work with several different tools which plug directly into our CRM tool to assist with quoting, marketing, and forecasting. Where relevant, the individual will also be required to update these tools, directly or via the CRM tool to reflect and report on sales activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing existing strategic clients
  • Winning new, large enterprise clients (minimum 20% of annual target to be measured against new logo clients)
  • Achievement against agreed targets (for an SAD role, in excess of £750k Gross Margin per annum) including cross-sell and upsell to existing clients and the winning of new logo business
  • Working with bid management team on strategic, qualified tender business
  • Working with pre-sales team to develop outstanding proposals and presentations to new and existing clients
  • Providing overlay sales expertise/assistance to junior members of the sales team
  • Use CRM system and other business tools to deliver accurate forecast to the business
  • Develop detailed Account Plans for all existing strategic accounts under management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners
  • Achieving and maintaining all relevant Vendor sales certifications
  • The ability to present on all core Products and Services provided by the group

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrable Achievement of Recent Sales Targets
  • Experience of driving recurring revenues
  • Ability to generate and deliver on comprehensive account plans
  • Strong culture fit to AdEPT
  • Experienced at tender/bid proposals/strong written English
  • Strong ability to build internal relationships
  • IT Literacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Strong Time Management
