Job Description
- Proactively work with the team to ensure that all operational services continue to meet the commercial, regulatory and statutory obligations of company Invest.
- Build strong relationships with, and act as primary escalation point for, all ourt vendors including Custodians and other relevant suppliers.
- Ensure all vendors are managed appropriately against SLAs, outsourcing and material/critical framework requirements.
- Provide relevant and timely management information as required both internally and externally.
- Ensure all internal operational systems are designed and operating effectively, and work with IT / Development throughout process of design, testing and deployment as required.
- Form strong working relationships with Operations team, CASS team, Compliance and any other key areas across company.
- Ensure that company and the wider company Operations is appropriately resourced with the necessary experience and skillsets that can continue to support our company.
- Represent us on all applicable governance committees and working groups where Operations input is required,
- Implement and oversee robust and scalable first line business processes and controls that support us from an operational and regulatory standpoint, including measurable SLAs / KPIs.
- Operational Risk oversight – capture, investigate and document risk issues and incidents with the department. Implement process improvement where appropriate to mitigate risk of reoccurrence.
- Ensure that Operations continues to develop and adapt to meet the needs of company as the business grows in size, scale and complexity.
- Represent us on all applicable business change initiative, inputting to the design, development and rollout of these changes.
- Work closely with the relevant Operational teams to ensure that business change communicated, understood, and embedded into business processes.
- Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training.
- When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of the company.
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Senior level experience managing a Financial Services Investment Operational function.
- Ideally specialist experience within settlements, custody, corporate actions and CASS.
- Track record of managing an operational team and managing change within an organization.
- Operational control mindset with experience in building operational controls and mitigating operational and financial risks.
