Job Description

  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in company’s operational risk.
  • You will work closely with experienced real estate and fixed income professionals across the business, applying your skills to all aspects of the management of company’s substantial long income portfolio
  • Take a key role in investment decision-making – driving acquisitions and analysing transactions, working directly with investment surveyors and fund managers to deliver deal flow for various funds within the Real Estate Income business
  • Assist in the capital raising, marketing and investor communications of the funds
  • Offering scope for progression to achieve your potential in a market leading fund management business
  • recommendations to the relevant Fund Manager
  • Driving investment committee and other approval processes to facilitate successful acquisitions
  • Work with dedicated asset managers on the active management of existing properties
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the investment policies and restrictions of the various funds
  • Preparation of investor, consultant, compliance and internal reporting
  • Assisting with capital management (capital queue management, drawdowns, payments, reporting, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external service partners
  • Ownership of the funds’ regular portfolio reviews and other fund management related projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role will be suitable for someone who has experience in transacting and managing a portfolio of diverse real estate assets and, ideally, in dealing with a sophisticated institutional investor base. It is recognized that candidates may not have specific experience in long lease property.

  • Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Highly numerate
  • Good level of proficiency in Excel and sound financial modelling skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated person and self-starter: ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Team-oriented person and ability to draw together expertise from different business units to contribute to high quality decision-making
  • Ability to priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Flexible approach to role and responsibilities within a growing business.
  • Likely to have specific knowledge of working in fund management/financial services. Must have the ability to analyze and model property cash flows.
  • Knowledge of credit analysis and ratings
  • Understanding of UK property market
  • Experience in structuring real estate or private credit transactions
  • Understanding of pension funds and pension fund consultants decision making process
  • Experience of presenting and reporting to institutional investors.
