Job Description

Due to their continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Company Accountant to join the team in a newly created role. This is a career enhancing opportunity to join during an exciting time of change for our client, so the right candidate will be able to thrive and grow.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and improving all systems to provide good quality management information
• Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts and board packs -generating greater insight
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Providing accurate analytical and financial reporting and identify/report opportunities for the business
• Leading projects around continuous improvement of accounting processes, reporting and controls, including bringing all reporting in line with MD expectations to assist with growth of the business
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Day to day management and development of the finance function
• Preparing year end accounts pack and statutory reporting
• VAT Returns
• Assisting with general bookkeeping and providing cover for all roles (Payroll, sales & purchase ledger etc) as required to support the team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• AAT qualified as a minimum / qualified by experience
• Management and financial accounting experience
• IT Literate including Sage and Excel
• Experience of driving change and working as part of a senior management team
• Must have strong management experience and the ability to manage and influence change
• Continuous improvement mentality, ability to develop controls, systems, MI and process
