Job Description
The Head of Group Financial Reporting Strategy role will work alongside the Head of Group Financial Reporting to oversee all financial related consolidation, assurance and reporting activities. This will include leading the delivery of the Group ARA/Interim Report/Earnings Release, including co-ordination with various non-Finance stakeholders; presenting to the Disclosure Forum; ensuring accurate and consistent implementation of accounting standards, policies and interpretations across the Group; providing guidance and challenge to ensure the appropriateness of accounting judgements.
Key responsibilities: -
- Responsible for the execution of core end-to-end processes, including preparation and assurance, of all Group external financial reporting requirements including quarterly Earnings Release, Interim Report and Annual Report & Accounts
- Responsible for appropriate implementation of financial reporting and disclosure requirements. Ensure timely and accurate application and implementation of accounting standards and interpretations, and consistent application across the Group.
- Provide implementation guidance and challenge to ensure the appropriateness of accounting judgments.
- Responsible for reviewing and re-defining the reporting process where required to continue to ensure high quality, efficient, timely and accurate delivery of external financial reporting.
- Ensure that the outputs are of a high quality, and prepared in accordance with accepted accounting policies, which have been consistently applied across the regions.
- Responsible for enhancing controls over the financial reporting processes and ensuring that control design, and operating effectiveness, is in line with company’s control framework and complies with all requirements.
