Creatively prepare and drive forward the execution of financial communication mandates for clients
Developing and executing stakeholder-led, integrated communication plans for standalone capital markets projects - IPOs / M&As / restructurings
Delivering sell-side and buy-side perception audits as part of comprehensive financial calendar plans
Own and manage client relationships alongside senior team members - particularly with respective communication, investor relations and finance functions.
Provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients and manage accounts on a day-to-day basis
Writing of press releases, commentaries, statements, and Q&A documents
Highly proactive approach to sourcing and creating client media opportunities, and ability to leverage strong book of media contacts
Ensure client programmes are agreed and project plans are in place
Developing planning documents across clients which target multiple stakeholder groups, through media (although multi-channel experience is favorable)
Supporting on issues management (particularly within a capital markets context) and working with senior colleagues to provide advice and develop required written materials
Bring a strong understanding of the news flow, media and sell-side and investor (institutional and retail) agenda, providing insights for clients to help shape their approach and strategy
Seek new business opportunities and working closely with senior team in developing new business proposals
Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients
Mentoring and training junior team members
Contribute to the team's ambitions and initiatives to promote and improve DIB (Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging) within the firm and externally
Support senior management in ensuring team processes are in place and regularly share ideas on ways to evolve these
Share industry, media and sell-side insights across the team, based on your contacts as well as thorough reading of the news and capital market intelligence
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in Financial Services.
Previous experience (5 years) in an in-house corporate communications, investor relations or PR agency role
Financial communication specialist (corporate communication experience is a nice to have but not essential)
Demonstrable knowledge of the FS industry and opinion formers, including a well-established media and sell-side network
Proven delivery of digitally-enabled financial communications programmes
Interest in having a broad FS client portfolio
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Time management and the ability to priorities a varied workload and plan ahead
Ability to work effectively within a busy team
Ability to build strong rapport/relationships at all levels within FTI Consulting and client organizations
Experience in supporting previous employers to enhance and promote initiatives to support a more diverse or inclusive workforce
