Job Description

The post holder will deliver the work programme set by the Management Accountant to support the provision of financial advice to the Directorates including budget preparation, budget monitoring and closure of accounts. They will provide high quality financial management, assist with preparation of the annual revenue and capital budgets and will support and provide robust challenge to Budget Managers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• CCAB Qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
• Experience within a Local Authority finance background
• Great communication skills with ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate complex financial information
• Experience of working with key stakeholders
