Job Description
You will take responsibility for the financial management, planning, and reporting for the organization, as well as the management and oversight of operations and enabling services including: HR, IT and compliance. The Head of Finance and Operations will also deputies for the Director [UK] in periods of absence, to ensure business continues as usual.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant [CCAB or equivalent] with strong technical skills, preferably with expert knowledge of financial control procedures, SORP and Charity accounting. You will have broad management experience across a range of business functions and systems, ideally including having had oversight of HR. You will have significant experience of effectively leading and managing a team, including: performance management, development, and mentoring to ensure staff can develop to their full potential. You will possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of core financial processes, accounts, planning, budgeting, and management reporting; as well as showing proven success in a leadership role in Finance and Operations, including the development of effective strategies.
