Job Description

You will be the lead contact for all things payroll! It is an exciting time to join and you will have full ownership of the payroll function. You will provide wide-ranging payroll services and support for a very diverse portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders to successful limited companies.

The plan is for you to grow the payroll offering and develop a team beneath you giving you time to work more closely with clients and provide them a more consultative service when it comes to payroll / employee benefits / tax planning etc.

You will report directly to the highly approachable and welcoming partners of the practice. It is a close knit and collaborative team. There is a really refreshing approach to flexibility here and you will enjoy working for a business that appreciates employees need a sensible work life balance.

You will enjoy plenty of autonomy and a real chance to grab the payroll area with both hands.

You will need:

  • Previous experience of payroll / payroll management within a firm of accountants.
  • A confidence when communicating with clients.
  • A natural ability to solve problems and a calm, measured approach to finding solutions.
  • A highly organized approach.
  • A keenness to make a difference and instil better controls and processes.
