Job Description

We are looking for a European Accounting Manager for a period of 6-9 months to head up of a team of general ledger accountants. This is an exciting role for a market leader offering excellent flexibility and hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of 5 General Ledger Accountants
• Responsible for accounting and controls for 13 legal entities across the European region
• Management and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
• Preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts
• Leading country compliance review, ensuring robust control environment
• Ensure all EMEA entities are compliant for Statutory Purposes.
• Overseeing correct journal entries and General Ledger Reconciliations
• Interface with external and internal auditors for Annual Audit and Tax requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
• Team management experience
• Accounting experience in an EMEA and/or European environment
• International experience either in a regional role or working in non-UK location and familiar working with EMEA nationals
