Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership across the Private Equity Asset class, providing strategic direction, ensuring clarity of purpose and clear business objectives for all services operating within the Private Equity Market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for setting the strategy for the global Private Equity market across all our services
  • Ensuring that all services delivered across Private Equity clients deliver the best client experience in the industry
  • Responsible for the overall Private Equity Market team performance against P&L targets, revenue and other metrics, ensuring that the Private Equity team meets targets and fully contributes to the success of the wider Aztec business
  • Accountable for establishing and ensuring the effective operation of the Private Equity Markets Board (cross service lines), to ensure consistency of strategy execution, alignment and robust governance frameworks are in place to support the Private Equity Market teams
  • Working closely with the Strategy and Innovation team, ensure that Private Equity Services evolve to ensure that existing products and services continue to provide an industry leading client experience
  • Accountable for developing and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all Private Equity teams to ensure the continuous development of the client experience
  • Full accountability for the relationship management with identified strategic Private Equity clients, ensuring that the client receives the best advice and support
  • Acting as a point of senior escalation for significant issues related to Private Equity Clients to ensure speedy and satisfactory resolution of issues
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams to set a clear go to market for PE, identify new business and client opportunities to ensure a robust pipeline of future work to continue to grow the Private Equity business
  • Work with leadership team across the Asset class to identify opportunities for cross referral
  • Lead and/or participate in new client proposals and pitches as necessary, and ensure the effective integration of new clients into the Private Equity business
  • Working with the Private Equity leadership team, and other Aztec teams such as Client Services and Strategy & Innovation, the Global Head of Private Equity will be accountable for ensuring that future client needs are anticipated and identified, and that any developed new Product and Services deliver to these needs and continue to deliver an industry leading client experience
  • Accountable for ensuring that robust staff succession and career progression plans are developed across the Private Equity Team
  • Work closely with the Head of Global clients to ensure smooth delivery and service excellence from Private Equity teams
  • Coaching, development and objective setting for direct reports and senior team members across Private Equity
  • Building the brand in global Private Equity through conference speaking, attendance, thought leadership
  • Set overall financial targets, such as revenue, profitability, spending and budget plans
  • Ensure that the group of companies remain compliant across all jurisdictions, for example regulatory submissions, legal requirements, etc.
  • Sit on all relevant Board Committees
  • Support, and where applicable, provide Executive Sponsorship for individual projects and programmes across the business
  • Ensuring that the best interests of the Private Equity Market team are represented during any Board discussions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Candidate will be ACA, ACCA. ICAEW or ICSA qualified
  • Considerable practical business and post qualification experience in the Financial Services sector with a focus on fund administration and/or accounting
  • Sound technical professional services knowledge
  • Computer literacy and word processing skills are essential, including advanced proficiency in accounting tools, such as Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts
  • Strong demonstrable experience in the day-to-day supervision of team(s)
  • Evidence of full responsibility for major client relationship(s)
