Job Description

My client is an international B2B services group with a strong client base and global footprint. They are Private Equity backed with a strong balance sheet, that makes them will placed for continued expansion into new territories and evaluation of acquisition opportunities. The Group Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting and controlling processes to ensure group reporting and corporate governance requirements are met
• Manage entity and divisional reporting developing process improvements to the quality of the reporting packs
• End to end ownership of reporting and controlling for both half year and full year, with supporting commentary to inform strategic decision making
• Instill a rigorous balance sheet review process across the group to minimize risk
• Provide leadership on cash management, cash forecasting and across the general treasury function
• Drive forward a continuous improvement culture in respect of the control environment, and spread best practice and across the group
• Lead the reporting for financial planning and forecasting cycles including the creation of quarterly reforecasts and an annual budget with supporting packs
• Oversight of post-acquisition integration to ensure consistent processes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a leadership role
• Technically highly competent with a financial reporting background within an international group
• Track record of continuous improvement with a good understanding of ERP systems
• Strong presentational skills, with credibility and gravitas at board level
• Prior experience of having built or presided over a best in class group finance function is desirable
• Commercial mindset, with the ability to help the group deliver their growth plan
• Prior experience working in a Private Equity or comparable environment is useful
