Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to manage all aspects of the Commercial business, sales & account development functions for a portfolio of commercial issuers. This will range from opportunity identification and development to full commercialization and execution.
The position requires a senior, highly self-motivated, commercially pragmatic, business developer with strong influencing and negotiating skills to partner with customers across numerous market specific proposals and portfolio engagements. The individual will be responsible for taking a proactive and thought leadership role in how to drive the business forward and partner with the various cross functional teams (Product Management, Data & Services, Cyber & Intelligence, Finance, Customer Delivery etc.) to enable delivery of the customers vision and priorities to grow their commercial payments business.
In this role, the individual will be responsible for achieving specific business development goals which will drive company’s market share, volume, and revenue growth in Commercial Solutions. The individual will work to identify sales opportunities through understanding the customer’s needs and satisfying these by delivering customized solutions leveraging company’s technology, products, services, partners, and global capabilities.
Responsibilities

  • Delivers against sales and revenue targets
  • Designs strategies, messaging, and proposals for customers to meet customer priorities and needs
  • Develops and implements sales plans including business development, marketing, and product management
  • Partners with the customer to establish, execute and report progress against annual business plans
  • Leads projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Negotiates and executes on the customer agreement process
  • Identifies and recommends products to enhance the customers’ profitability

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in account management and business development with in-depth experience executing and managing sales strategies for numerous complex or large accounts in payments or financial services with a proven track record of sales successes
  • Demonstrated expertise and success leveraging company's core products, rules, and services in customer accounts
  • Strong experience and understanding of the Commercial & Banking ecosystem outside of just card payment products
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team
  • A proven track record owning and delivering multiple complex projects in a customer facing role
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply them and make recommendations: ability to structure and conduct market analysis, competitive assessment and product profitability simulations
  • Experience in a client facing role with a track record of building propositions and influencing customers and internal stakeholders
  • Abide by company’s security policies and practices;
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;
  • Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with company’s guidelines.
