Responsible for managing the global finance team and taking overall responsibility for the Board finance pack and presenting to the board.
To work closely with the Board to formulate financial strategy to include responsibility for budgets and forecasts.
To challenge performance and identify internal and external development opportunities.
To take responsibility for financial corporate governance and monitoring financial controls and KPI's.
To work with the Board and Leadership Team on organic growth, improving profitability, bids and tender opportunities.
Accountable for the finance function and processes, including management reporting, credit control, cash, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Leadership role in the process to raise investment capital as needed.
To play a lead role as a director to challenge performance and identify development opportunities.
Own the financial processes, procedures and controls to ensure safeguarding of company assets and accuracy of financial systems.
Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls.
Implement appropriate systems and controls, creating a performance improvement culture.
Prepare and file statutory accounts, acting as main point of contact for auditors.
Drive financial knowledge and discipline into the Group organization
Develop and provide business performance reports that enable business improvement
Manage key financial relationships - bank, auditors, government
Manage Group tax and regulatory compliance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), who can demonstrate progression through to a similar level of leadership, at either FC or FD level working with Boards and senior leaders
Experience at FD/FC level in a fast-paced growth organization that has scaled, preferably in the SaaS/ tech/ business outsourcing sector
Experience of leading and coaching a remote team to success
Global experience in a senior finance role, to include strong experience in the US in addition to the UK
Experience leading business transformation/change programmes, including systems integration
Experience of investor funding initiatives
Demonstrable experience of defining KPIs and goals and driving improvement through action
Commercially astute, technically strong, and insightful with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Entrepreneurial, able to balance operational and strategic thinking and activity effectively
