Job Description

You will work directly with and alongside senior investment members and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of an investment including origination, execution, structuring, negotiation, and ongoing management
  • Oversee thematic research within key climate investment verticals
  • Review valuation models, lead the preparation of investment memoranda for, and present opportunities at Investment Committee meetings
  • Manage relationships with key investment stakeholders, counterparties, and partners
  • Lead due diligence efforts on prospective investments (e.g. commercial, climate impact, ESG, financial, tax, legal, etc.)
  • Lead negotiations of legal transaction documentation (e.g. SPA, SHA, MIP, etc.) with support from internal and external legal advisors
  • Actively engage with the management and board of portfolio companies with responsibility for certain post-closing value creation work streams
  • Lead and mentor team of junior professionals in and outside the investment process
  • Contribute to investor related activities (e.g. pitches, update meetings, etc.)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • We are looking for a professional with the ability and willingness to excel within a highly entrepreneurial organization. The successful candidate should demonstrate:
  • 8+ years of direct private equity investment experience (buy-side). Background should include origination, execution, value creation, and exit experience.
  • Growth equity and/or climate sector investment expertise strongly desired.
  • Demonstrable interest for growth and/or climate impact investing.
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player with entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent analytical, inter-personal and written communication skills.
  • Business fluency in written and spoken English is required. Ability to understand an additional European language preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent academic credentials with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university.
