The role will suit a qualified accountant with experience managing statutory audits and experience working within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background, attention to detail and will be comfortable leading and coaching a small team of accountants within the EMEA Financial Accounts Team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day activities of the EMEA Financial Accounts Team, alongside the existing Financial Accounting Manager and directly reporting to the Finance Director.
Responsibility for the month end process, including twelve legal entities across multiple countries.
Detailed review of entity Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets, plus review of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Lead and coach direct reports, plus others in the Financial Accounts team.
Liaise with local accountants in EMEA subsidiaries to ensure consistent accounting and reporting.
Support statutory requirements including relevant tax filings, statutory accounts and VAT returns.
Maintain and enhance documentation of current business processes, financial controls and accounting policies to adhere to internal and SOX procedures.
Key contact for internal and external auditors and oversee the EMEA interim and year end audit procedures.
Support the FP&A function with the annual financial strategy and budgeting processes.
Lead and manage other ad-hoc and project-based work as required.
