Performing sales ledger tasks, including raising of sales invoices, ensuring funds are received on time
Performing purchase ledger tasks, ensuring invoices received are approved in line with delegated authorities, proposing payment runs, and ensuring payments approved and made on time
Performing nominal ledger tasks, preparing monthly journals in accounts system, including sales ledger, nominal ledger, accruals and prepayments
Assisting in the preparation of draft project management accounts, reporting variances against budget
Monitoring cash balances and proposing funds to be placed on long term deposits, ensuring best available deposit rates are secured
Preparing monthly VAT returns
Assisting in the preparation of draft annual budgets and forecasts
Assisting in the preparation of information for year-end statutory audits and responding to questions raised by the audit team
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A desire and willingness to work as part of a small team in a high-profile business to deliver critical
Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) school leavers graduates or career accountants will all be considered
Demonstrate a good understanding of Profit and Loss, balance sheet
Ability to develop robust relationships with key stakeholders
A professional attitude, self-motivated approach and excellent interpersonal skills are prerequisite
