Job Description

You will report to the Business Controller working closely with the regional and local finance teams, service line leadership and project management team.

What a typical day would be like:

  • Provide financial oversight of Monitoring and Forecasting service line supporting business management with accurate and timely financial information.
  • You proactively initiate preparation/maintenance of project budgets with Project Managers, challenge assumptions made and monitor actual versus budget.
  • You are responsible for timely delivery of project results for monthly and quarterly reports, including project forecasts for the financial reporting and communication of early warnings on financial risks and results.
  • You collect, monitor, and analyze relevant financial and project data to identify improvements and trends ensuring integrity and accuracy of all accounting transactions.
  • You develop and implement reporting structure for the Monitoring and Forecasting service line, ensuring clarity and transparency of financial performance for all business areas within the service line and acting as the financial business partner.
  • You control and monitor project processes and documents (finance, tax, compliance, purchasing, subcontracts, audits, insurance, project risks, etc.).
  • You answer ad hoc reporting requests from management, business control, and/or other relevant stakeholders in the organization.
  • You are involved in project audits on a regular basis, you communicate results and improvements suggestions.
  • You support the Business Controller at month and year end, in the management of Revenue Recognition, the delivery of reports, providing support to the Business in transactional enquiries and ad-hoc support to ensure an accurate and timely reporting process.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • You have BSc. degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Economics or Business Administration.
  • You have relevant project experience, affinity with financial topics, project risks and excellent Excel skills.
  • You have excellent communication skills at all organizational levels (finance, business management, operations) and an excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • You embrace change and support others in adjusting to new ways of working.
  • You are persistent and proactive in pursuing financial project information needed to control projects.
  • You are a team player; you are accurate and have well developed analytical skills.
