This multiple award-winning Global Events business is an employer of choice and leader in their field. They are experiencing exponential growth and as a result have created a new role for a Head of Finance to manage their financial operations.

Reporting to the FD and managing the FP&A and management accounting function for the various businesses & revenue streams. They require an experienced Qualified FC/HoF from an events, media, and hospitality or retail background looking for the next step.

Main Responsibilities:

• Deputies for the Finance Director as required on all issues
• Provide high quality Business Partner support to Commercial Heads/ Senior Leadership teams across the businesses
• Ensure financial controls and processes are operating well across the businesses to enable timely and accurate reporting and compliance
• Take the lead on systems/process development and automation
• Oversee and take ultimate responsibility of the month end close and reporting process to ensure timely and accurate actuals
• Ownership of the FP&A process to ensure the FP&A Manager is providing accurate timely information and support to the business
• Critical analysis of controls and processes to enable key contribution to systems and process development and documentation.
• Manage, coach and develop the Finance team
• Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by Finance Director

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant PQE experience in the events, media, hospitality or retail sector
• Experienced FC/HoF with proven background in managing an accounting division/function
• Excellent core accounting skills
• Strong financial analytical skills and eye for detail
• Advanced IT skills
• Positive with a “can do” attitude
• Team leader and player who enjoys working in a high achieving environment
