Job Description

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Manager with a recognized accountancy qualification, good leadership/management skills and strong financial technical knowledge, especially VAT.
Working as a Finance Manager you will lead, manage and develop the finance team of 3, ensuring that all finance functions are performed efficiently, accurately and in a timely basis.
You will help to continuously improve performance to provide the best possible service. Your immediate line manager is the Head of Finance, HR & Systems but ultimately you will be answerable to the Company Directors.
DUTIES
Your role as a Finance Manager will include, but is not limited to:

• Overall responsibility for the finance functions within the organization
• Lead, manage and develop the finance team of 3
• Hands on involvement in certain areas when required
• Ensure an efficient month-end process alongside your team
• Responsibility for all statutory filings including VAT returns
• Work with all departments to ensure continual process improvements
• Provide analysis and support to the wider company on all financial matters when required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A recognized accountancy qualification
• Strong financial technical knowledge (especially VAT)
• Experience of managing and developing a similar size finance team
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the detail
• Confident IT user with strong Excel skills
• Demonstrate the organization’s core values
• Experience of Xero and Microsoft Teams & SharePoint/Office 365
• Experience of e-Commerce and selling goods overseas
• Experience of accounting for stock and manufacturing companies
