Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be one of the first finance professional to join here, hence defining our accounting vision & team moving forward. The ideal candidate should have similar experiences implementing accounting programs from scratch & a strong passion for Tech, Travel & Telecommunications.

You will collaborate closely with the VP of Finance and multiple department directors in the company. Your main responsibility will be to lead the Accounting function, from Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables to ensuring timely and accurate day-to-day transactional accounting. You will support a range of products and business areas within company across multiple global entities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes & implement internal controls & guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
  • Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance local & global regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
  • Presents recommendations to management on short and long-term financial objectives and policies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Relevant bachelor degree in accounting/finance/economic/business administration with 10 year’s experience in similar capacities in a global/regional environment
  • Strong knowledgeable of local accounting GAAP, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Cash Management and Finance Management
  • Experience implementing accounting programs/SOPs across multiple business units, educating internal stakeholders while managing a team of junior/mid-level accountants
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment / experience in communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams & balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive projects at the same time
  • Proven negotiation skills with commercial and business acumen, ability to create strong internal & external working relationships
  • Understanding of online payment processors (Stripe, Paypal, Braintree)
  • Certified Public Accountant Certification (CPA)
  • Experience working with internet and technology companies
  • Experience working with Telco, MNOs, MNVOs, eSIM & GSMA
  • Experience with Xero and/or other Accounting Management System
