Job Description
  • Oversee operations of supervisors, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
  • Oversee cash flow management
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting process, including variances
  • Producing error-free adhoc accounting reports and present their results
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Additional task and responsibilities will be required within reason to support the needs and requirements of the business.
  • To work within the companies operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Contribute towards good team work and high standards
  • Always follow safety rules, avoid improvisation and comply with the health and safety policy
  • Only operate equipment that you are qualified/trained to undertake
  • Always store materials and equipment in a safe manner
  • Never block emergency escape routes
  • Always practice safe working procedures, refrain from horseplay and report all hazards and defective equipment
  • Always wear suitable clothing and personal protective equipment if you enter the warehouse/yard areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient user or finance software
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excelled oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas
