Job Description

You’ll be responsible for quality control execution, issues management, policy implementation oversight and governance management for all Screening functions. You’ll ensure your team are appropriately trained and coached by conducting needs analysis and oversight. Leadership, coaching and people development are key aspects of this role, together with an ability to drive performance. You’ll be driving efficiency, process improvement and innovation to ensure all screening related activities are processed in accordance with both internal policy and external regulation.

  • Leading and developing the Screening Quality Control function across Name Screening, Transaction Screening and Trade Finance;
  • Managing Issues across Audit, Assurance, breaches, waivers & dispensations including Action plans, Treatment strategies, Governance approvals;
  • Analyzing Policy and Standards requirements and implementing Governance oversight;
  • Supporting and advising on the Risk and Impact Assessment of new regulation or business initiatives and driving implementation as required;
  • Running Policy Gap analysis, advising on required updates to procedures and escalating waivers, exceptions, and breaches to FC CoE Governance team for tracking
  • Supporting the Head of Screening in defining requirements for tactical and strategic projects in relation to Screening

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers.

  • Proven track record of leading and developing high performing Financial Crime teams
  • Subject matter expertise in Financial Crime, specifically screening (Name or Transaction)
  • Previous experience in a Financial Crime risk and control position
  • Confident communicator, with excellent stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge and experience of working across Retail & Corporate Banking products
  • Evidence of a structured and organized way of working
