Job Description

We provide a full suite of valuation services in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity portfolios, Contentious Valuations, Complex Financial Instruments, Illiquid Securities and Financial and Tax reporting. All of our teams are expanding, and we have established A&M as one of the leading providers of Valuation services globally & the no.1 firm to develop a pan European career in Valuations today. We are looking for an experienced Valuations professional at Associate Director level to join us in our London office.

You will:

  • Contribute to multiple and complex Valuation engagements whilst collaborating closely with a range of industry leading specialists across different A&M teams
  • Perform high-quality valuation analyses using a variety of valuation methodologies
  • Use a variety of tools to conduct extensive data analysis and valuation modelling
  • Write client reports and other deliverables for high profile assignments
  • Contribute to the development of junior colleagues via formal and informal training & development
  • Build relationships with clients through exceptional day-to-day project management and execution
  • Assist on business development activities including contributing to proposals, pitches & networking
  • Gain exposure to senior members of the team, leveraging their substantial experience to learn on the job in addition to formal technical and soft skills training programs offered by A&M globally
  • Network internally with our other service lines and to participate in external marketing events

  • Commercial valuations for Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Valuations for Disputes & Litigation
  • Alternative Investments
  • PE Portfolio Valuations
  • Complex Financial Instruments
  • Intellectual Property Valuations
  • Fairness Opinions and Commercial Valuations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CFA) with a strong educational background including Finance and/or Mathematics
  • 4+ years specialist valuations experience including some or all of the areas above, gained at a Big 4 or other reputable consulting firm, investment bank or independent valuation firm
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European languages are highly valued
  • Ambitious with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
