Evaluate new leveraged loan and private credit investment opportunities for funds managed by the team and monitor existing investments for credit events and secondary market opportunities. This role will involve working closely with other credit analysts, fund managers, existing team members and key stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Researching information and reviewing due diligence on companies
  • Financial modelling of companies’ historic and projected financials
  • Researching and presenting ESG analysis
  • Attending management meetings/presentations
  • Preparing written submissions and presenting to credit committee
  • Reviewing legal documentation
  • Attendance at credit committee meetings
  • Monitoring a portfolio of existing investments and providing credit events updates to fund managers
  • Analysis for making purchase/sell recommendations on existing investments to the fund managers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including credit analysts, fund managers and investment teams
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in operational risk.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role is ideally suited to someone who through their career to date can demonstrate a track record of:

  • In depth experience of Leveraged Finance/Corporate Credit Analysis/Fixed Income
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and excellent financial modelling skills
  • Ability to interpret and model key financial statements – balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements
  • Highly motivated person and self-starter: ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Team oriented person and ability to work across different business units
  • Ability to priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Flexible approach to role and responsibilities.
