Job Description

Our banking sector account management team is looking to hire a Director to lead and develop key technology relationships at senior levels. We are looking for an experienced practitioner with the ability to contribute to a high caliber team seeking to build the market leading professional services business in this sector. The role provides an opportunity to drive significant growth in this sector over the next 2-3 years, as well playing a key role in changing the nature of services and support that company provides to this critical part of the UK Financial Services industry.
Your key responsibilities
You will be working with clients to understand their wide-ranging and complex needs, when faced with the significant business, and regulatory challenges, and technological advances that characterize today's volatile markets. More specifically you will:

  • Generate new business opportunities and sales in the technology domain through proactively managing aligned accounts, identifying new client opportunities, developing alliance partnerships and playing a significant role in developing and driving new market propositions
  • Lead on developing identified key technology relationships at senior levels with a view to generating work from these prospective clients for the firm
  • Network widely within the firm and support Partners/Director colleagues to identify and generate new business opportunities and build client networks and relationships
  • Maintain and further develop the sector team's knowledge and knowledge management capability in relation to sector's business drivers, issues and personalities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to provide advice to and develop close, fee-generating, and trusted business relationships with clients
  • Strong understanding of trends, developments and personalities in the banking technology sector
  • Strong team player/team management skills.
  • Ability to draw together and manage diverse teams to deliver integrated solutions to complex client needs
  • Have credibility and business insight that can be demonstrated to partners
  • High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed
  • Proven results in long term, strategic, solution sales and account management within a strategic solutions sales environment with a proven ability to lead teams brought together around an account opportunity
  • Proven experience managing complex sales process and long sales cycles
  • Team based sales - will have worked with specialists to co-develop client needs
  • Significant experience of working in the banking industry
  • An excellent senior network in the banking sector
  • An understanding of the risk management issues surrounding providing audit and other consulting services

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus an ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with clients and colleagues from a range of backgrounds and cultures based on knowledge, experience and personal values.
We are looking for a driven, organized, conscientious and analytical individual with proven leadership skills working with demanding and senior stakeholder within an ever-changing environment.
