Job Description

The role encompasses supporting the business functions, through the management of a team of Finance Business Partners and their own activities. Business functions are: Finance, IT, Strategy and Transformation, Legal, Commercial Property and Facilities, People and the Corporate Centre The role owns Finance business partnering support to colleagues at all levels, but most notably the senior leaders of the global functions (CFO, CPO, CIO, Group Commercial Director, Group Strategy Director, and Legal Counsel). It will also provide business support to all global strategies; such as sustainability, digitalization, and will ensure that the Change and Transformation Board (Group Leadership team) is supported in its management of the Group Change portfolio.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Leads the financial support for all Group Functions in the development and articulation of a short and medium term strategy.
  • Owns the process to create three year Strategy Plans for all Group Functions– including the development of change and transformation investment plans to drive the functions forwards.
  • Ensures there is strong financial and commercial support to leaders of all global functions for annual planning and forecast review meetings, aiding their understanding of the cost base and supporting decision making.
  • Responsible for the creation of robust and defensible forecasts, strategy and financial plans for all Global functions with clear assumptions, rigorous financial and commercial challenge and a compelling narrative.
  • Responsible that all global functions are supported with the preparation of relevant information, data and analytics to support the for quarterly business performance reviews with CEO and CFO.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Medium to large corporate FP&A and Business performance management, either at Group, Functions or in a Divisional role, including significant international business presence.
  • The ability to design relevant business metrics and KPIs and communicate the insight and interventions required with gravitas.
  • Ability to operate with confidence at GLT level.
  • Excellent financial planning, analytical and modelling knowledge.
  • Commercially astute, focused on adding value.
  • Demonstrating a proven track record of keeping up to date on new financial planning and analysis techniques and keen to use latest technology in financial forecasting and scenario model.
  • Strong IT skills, including Advanced excel skills, experience of SAP (or similar ERP) will be useful.
