Job Description

As Head of Investment Marketing, you will be a senior member of the team that creates engaging and market leading product and investment marketing collateral that help customers, and where appropriate advisers, understand the products we have on offer and the investment solutions available.

You will develop and deliver the investment marketing strategy and investment content marketing programme to support the growth of Standard Life’s investment products and propositions to the UK market.

A key responsibility will be to work closely with wider teams such as investment proposition, investment solutions, distribution, and with other marketing colleagues and direct reports, to deliver the overall investment messaging and content so that it is high quality, clear and engaging, and suitable for the specific target audience for whom it is intended. As to be expected, there is strong focus on responsible investment and ESG which reflect Standard Life’s sustainability ambitions.
Key Responsibilities

  • To build a framework where we have compelling investment messages and narratives that support our trading units' requirements, by ensuring our target audiences feel engaged and informed.
  • Use data driven insight to design and manage go to market plans for product launches or campaigns, ensuring that the campaigns are successful, high impact and support our commercial objectives.
  • Act as a senior member of the Thought Leadership content team within marketing.
  • Create brand differentiation through the development and delivery of creative, thought-provoking and market leading content and marketing programmes that support our core products and propositions that we offer to our customers.
  • Create engaging investment marketing and product collateral and brochure ware that help customers understand their investment solutions, options and range of outcomes.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all platforms, marketing media and audience channels.
  • Create new product and investment marketing communication tools to promote the key aspects of our products and propositions
  • Ensure collateral reflects our sustainability priorities
  • Work with our wider Marketing team to ensure the creation of web pages and promotion through social channels and promote through video, webinars and events.
  • Deliver go-to-market campaigns to support our products and investment propositions
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, Conduct Risk (Customer at the Heart), Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal responsibility to ensure that controls you are responsible for are complied with
  • Ensure that we are utilizing relevant content from across the business in the most efficient and customer centric way. This includes output from propositions, sustainability and economics teams that may be found elsewhere within group.
  • Represent Marketing on Investment and ESG related projects across Standard Life and Group being the SME on these areas for Marketing.

Online Interviews and Onboarding

  • All our interviews, onboarding and new joiners are now managed remotely. We have in place a strong virtual support network to ensure new colleagues are supported and developed as they navigate their first few months with us

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • We’re looking for a passionate and seasoned investment marketer with a clear understanding of the regulatory environment.
  • Associated with pensions and savings.
  • You’re likely to have gained this experience having worked within an asset manager, pensions provider or investment consulting firm.
  • You’ll be highly experienced in developing messaging suitable for both B2B and B2C audiences, with a track record of delivery from idea through to development and implementation. IMC qualified or equivalent.
  • Experienced on fast paced environments and working within a matrix organization.
  • You will be a brilliant stakeholder manager and relationship builder with excellent influencing skills.
  • Above all, you’ll be creative, curious and have a positive can-do attitude.
