Job Description

You will be joining the Group IT team is focused on providing business applications, Infrastructure and services which are supported, stable and streamlined to enable employees and teams to work in a clear, controlled and cost effective manner.This role’s primary objective is to work to ensure that best value as well as on-time delivery (performance) is received for all products and services purchased and also to drive the maturity of the supplier management lifecycle. As Technology Procurement Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain the contract database for your assigned Suppliers
  • Own the supplier selection process, including RFI’S, RFQ’s, formal tenders
  • Facilitate the SRM process for our Tier 1, 2 and 3 Suppliers
  • Support Executive Sponsors, Business Owners and Technical Leads in fulfilling their roles within the SRM process
  • Serve as the primary Procurement point of contact for assigned suppliers across all Ocado departments (including Legal and Finance)
  • Analyze purchasing and vendor data and provide reports as necessary from existing Software Applications (Oracle, Salesforce and INFIMIS).
  • Support regular supplier landscape reviews

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Creating and optimizing procurement processes, specifically, supplier selection, supplier classification, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Performance Management
  • Directly managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the best value is achieved.
  • A strong understanding of IT purchasing across Hardware and Software (perpetual and SaaS)
  • Managing priorities in an energetic environment
  • .Continuous Improvement mindset - always looking to simplify ways of working.
  • Demonstrable experience in building strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers to drive maximum benefits
  • CIPS - Working towards at least level 4 or at experience in a Procurement role
  • An understanding of risk management - classification and mitigation techniques
  • Experience using Finance Software - preferable iOracle or Oracle Fusion
  • Understanding of SOC2 or ITIL
