Job Description
Working closely with the CFO, will develop and oversee the corporate financial accountabilities, including tax reporting, auditing, and treasury management. Will also establish and manage robust financial controls to ensure the company meets its financial compliance requirements. The role will be the deputy to the CFO.
Key Accountabilities
- Finance Plan and Budget: responsible for the preparation, commercial input, overview and approval of forecasting and budgeting for the network build and operations, including alignment to the finance plan of the company
- Corporate strategy: support the CFO in the defining and implementing of corporate strategy.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of corporate strategy in order to achieve higher levels of efficiency.
- Conducting financial reporting: drive financial reporting internally and with external authorities and Shareholders, ensuring tax activities are kept up to date, aiding with external and internal audits, and assisting quality review activities with external auditors.
- Analysis of risks and financial impacts: analysis of external and internal risks, monitoring and anticipation of possible actions and impacts, working together with the C-Suite and Shareholders to ensure compliance with the company's objectives
- Managing financial controls: manage CapEx/OpEx transaction processing and reconciliations, risk, contract management, and shared services account. Plan, coordinate and implement control procedures for supervision, measure, evaluate and report on finance performance, verify that the defined efficiency and productivity objectives have been achieved, or identify deviation points and issues across the end-to-end (E2E)network build and operations processes
- Propose corrective actions based on the analysis of the internal control system with the aim of guaranteeing the financial integrity of the company and its objectives
- Leading on compliance: will ensure all technical accounting compliance and statutory year-end requirements are being met, ensuring all relevant procedures and policies are business-focussed and communicated effectively
- Managing the approval of exceptions from partners: will be in charge of managing partner payment interventions and exception approvals from E2E of network deployment, reporting the results to the relevant stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost efficiencies across all the processes involved in the network build and network operations, involving all related stakeholders and translating the forecasted cost efficiencies to the contract negotiations and renegotiations with partners and suppliers
- Financial and Management Reporting: Coordinate the preparation of accounting information for audits, inspections and reports required by the C-Suite, authorities, banks, shareholders or other related parties
