Job Description
  • Preparing annual statutory year end accounts
  • Preparing monthly management reporting and projected outturns
  • Contributing to budget preparation
  • Maintaining cash flow and advising as appropriate
  • Overseeing service charge calculations
  • Preparing annual rent calculations
  • Overseeing maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Understanding, maintaining, and updating  Regulations
  • Understanding and advising on meeting lender’s covenants and other business criteria
  • Distributing reports to budget holders and the Leadership Team on a timely basis
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with others, staff, customers and clients outside the organization
  • Always understanding and following policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Fairness, and Business Continuity Planning
  • Supporting the improvement of  understanding within the organization
  • Responsible for effective management, supervision and monitoring of the Team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACCA/AAT qualifications
  • Proven experience in producing management accounts for a multi-million pound and multi-faceted business
  • Proven experience in producing statutory accounts for a multi-million pound and multi-faceted business
  • Experience of using and setting up accounting software to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts production
  • Able to recognize and recommend areas in which improvements to the accounting systems can be achieved
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of organization
  • Proficiency in the use of Spreadsheets and Word-processing applications
  • Ability to learn to use the relevant software quickly and confidently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative
  • Ability to manage time well, priorities workload, and plan ahead in order to handle several tasks simultaneously without losing sight of priorities
  • Ability to adopt a methodical approach and work within systems and procedures
  • Able to handle sensitive data and be competent in maintaining clear and accurate records
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong reconciliation skills
