Job Description

We’re looking for someone with relevant experience, a down to earth attitude, a laser eye for detail and teamwork orientated attitude. Would be reporting into a Business Leader, in partnership with a strategist and CD, and with 1 or 2 Account Managers to nurture and develop. You would be responsible for the day to day direction of the account, checking that it is on track both in terms of delivery but also in terms of future planning. Understand the commercial realities of the business the client is in and spot opportunities to develop the agency’s role. Through strong client relationships you would create an environment where the best work can flourish, ensuring clear and timely briefings from the client and the right resources from inside the agency. Create a supportive environment for your direct reports, troubleshooting when they are unable to resolve issues, coaching and mentoring them, giving them enough room to grow, but enough guidance and support so they do not flounder.

  • Can speak fluently about a brand’s positioning, audiences, the market place and key competitors
  • Shows potential to independently develop insightful briefs, well rationalized strategic recommendations and compelling creative presentations
  • Translates research results and applies it to guide and support great ideas
  • Understands and champions an integrated approach – endorsing the right channels for the brief

Business Skills

  • Knows the client’s business: how they make money and the challenges they face
  • Clearly understands client finance - scope of work, income and overall profitability
  • Accountable for campaign budgets, monitoring total spend, forecasting and resolving issues should they arise
  • Can create, sell in and defend campaign budgets including ad hoc fees
  • Applies the right resource to requirements – seeking out expertise where necessary
  • Consistently entrepreneurial with a passion for business building – looks for new organic growth opportunities - making it happen is not enough, they strive to make this better constantly.
  • Confident in talking to clients about what more we can do for them, what capabilities we can add and then DRIVES this on the agency agenda internally. Is very comfortable selling the agency.
  • Clearly commercially astute with superb attention to detail.
