Working with the existing team of Accountants, you will be required to complete Bookkeeping and administrative tasks for a range of SME businesses using industry leading tools.
Bookkeeping for SME businesses using Xero.
Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded.
Posting journal entries to ledger accounts.
Preparing trial balances.
Performing bank reconciliations.
Performing other duties as required.
Onboarding and off boarding of clients.
Raising client letters of engagement.
Liaising with HMRC and Companies house.
Filing documents correctly with HMRC.
Updating Iris and managing ad-hoc tasks for the team.
Scanning and filling post.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 2+ years' experience as a bookkeeper / accounts assistant within practice.
Highly proficient in the use of XERO (essential) and ideally XERO certified.
AAT Qualified or close to qualifying is highly desirable.
