You will be responsible for the provision of an effective administration service to the accounting and finance department, delivered by careful adherence to process and application of the accounting system.
You will be involved in the management of financial data and production of information to support financial analysis and budget review processes within agreed cycle plan timelines, alongside undertaking of other general administrative tasks.

Validate inbound invoices from suppliers, ensuring they are signed off for payment by the relevant department
Reconcile delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
Record purchase invoices in accounting systems
Prepare weekly payment runs for payments due
Reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger
Investigate purchase ledger queries
Query, validate and record debit notes from customers
Assist with chasing customer debt, and sending customer statements
Management accounts, via the application of month-end procedures
Post credit-card expenditure in a timely manner, ensuring employees understand and comply with timelines for submitting expenses
Provide additional administrative support as directed to support year end audits
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of accounting concepts including accrual and revenue recognition
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Evidence of ability to follow and adhere to procedure and guidelines, work accurately and have an eye for detail
Ability to organize and priorities work effectively to achieve targets in a timely and efficient manner;
Willingness to seek help and guidance appropriately
Part qualified accountancy qualification e.g. ATT, ACCA, CIMA
The ability to evidence problem solving and troubleshooting competence
Ability to evidence themselves as a team-player: willingness to support, flex and collaborate with others
