Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a finance professional with strong analytic, interpersonal and business acumen to work within a world class organization providing leadership to our EMEA business. The individual we seek should have a thorough understanding of basic revenue recognition, advanced pricing models and Go To Market pipeline motions especially those pertaining to the SAAS industry. The Sr Director of Commercial Finance will partner with the EMEA SVP Sales in developing, leading and managing commercial strategy and activities of the business. To implement and maintain processes and controls relating to commercial engagements. To co-own the 3-5 year financial plan for the region including the core activities related to prospective growth in revenue and costs improvement. This is a highly visible, high impact and cross functional position in a high growth and dynamic business allowing for capable and ambitious individual to propel profitable growth.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collate, monitor, analyze and educate on value drivers (“Metrics/KPIs”) of the EMEA Region to its sales force
  • Develop and maintain an improved set of processes and controls with VP Finance and CFO/GC relating but not limited to pricing, contracting, compliance
  • Research and build business plans with the SVP Sales on new/emerging growth markets and new commercial strategies
  • Monitor market and existing customers risk and opportunity trends with the aim to growing and retaining revenue
  • Collate, monitor and analyze business data pertaining to commercial activities and report back to all internal stakeholders e.g. target performance, pipeline health/growth and accuracy in sales forecasting
  • Ensure all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets for short and long term plans of the region
  • Represent the company at an external level in strategic negotiations including external networking to increase the companies profile and optimize business development opportunities
  • Drive a progressive and positive culture between Sales and Finance in effort to meet shared goals
  • Work closely and as part of the regional Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.
  • Enable strong collaboration with other Operations functions (Sales Op’s, Channel Op’s)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business related field
  • 10 + years professional experience
  • Financial modelling / advanced excel skills
  • Strong professional work ethic and high level on integrity
  • Self-starter that is able to partner with all functions of the business
  • Experience in SAAS industry a big plus
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Thorough understanding of technical accounting principles especially those pertaining to the SAAS industry
  • Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skillset
  • Detail oriented and well organized with the ability to work independently in a fast paced, high growth environment
