Job Description

We’re looking for an analytically minded Financial Control Manager, with an excellent track record of dealing with complex and technical data management. As well as being technically skilled & preferably with a background in Cost and/or Resource management, you’ll need to have excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the wider bank.

We’ll need you to be a strategic thinker, goal setter, have strong delivery, and long-range planning experience. You’ll be providing all aspects of Business analysis and creating accurate and value-adding people & cost metrics that will provide insights and support decision making across various functions within Santander.

  • Supporting cost control for Employment
  • Helping to set FTE & People Cost Budget targets & review Forecasts
  • Developing ideas to drive efficiency & cost savings
  • Working with FBPs and Org Design team to understand FTE and People Cost trends & trajectory
  • Creating ad-hoc analysis using people data to drive Business decisions
  • Reporting FTE & other people-related metrics

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A strong & relevant technical background, combined with experience in data analysis, project management and relationship management.
  • Ability to contribute to the overall People Strategy, utilizing communication skills, stakeholder management, strategic thinking & long-term planning.
  • Knowledge & expertise with both relevant technical skills and Functional experience
  • Experience delivering, reporting & analyzing cost efficiency initiatives
  • Experience dealing with large volumes of data, creating accurate & reconciled reporting
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to present clear & insightful outputs
