Job Description
  • Develop and execute on a strategy to identify, assess, pursue, and close new business opportunities with key accounts and potential partners.
  • Serves as the key lead on International partnership negotiation, working closely with US Business Development team.
  • Works closely with Toast internal team (Product marketing, Sales and Marketing) to identify where partners would help us win or close gaps in product roadmaps.
  • Develop partner and key account relationships end-to-end, from initial scoping, to negotiations, and launch.
  • Work closely with marketing to collaborate and execute on a cohesive partnerships strategy for our international markets.
  • Work closely within the team to roll out partnerships and ensure proper communication and enablement.
  • Work with our Sales team to ensure that the right contacts at key, strategic accounts are made and passed along.
  • Develop and execute Business Development strategy and tactics across company and its key products, including our fast-growing platform.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure success of partnerships and report findings to stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant conferences and networking events to meet potential partners and key accounts.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and news to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Review internal analytics to develop expected partner performance models and ongoing success metrics.
  • Conduct market analysis to develop current and future expected landscape structures across the company ecosystem.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 5+ years of work experience, preferably partnerships, business development, SaaS technology, finance or consulting.
  • Leadership & general management skills, especially in setting strategy & gaining alignment with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships; both internally and externally.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and possess the ability to think outside the box.
  • Demonstrated product sense and familiarity with current consumer technology.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to evaluate opportunities from strategic, brand, financial, and operational perspectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to think and communicate creatively and thoughtfully with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinker and tactical executor able to shift from big picture to detailed operations.
  • Strong team player with an excellent track record of success in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
