Job Description

Work alongside your Senior Product Portfolio Manager in collaborating with the central markets team and the local markets team to deliver a successful implementation plan. The primary focus of this is expected to be around the move to a common supplier for our travel insurance portfolio, which has an impact, to varying degrees.

This role will particularly focus and support on the implementation and switch of a new travel insurance supplier in one of our largest markets, here in the UK. Be the owner of an implementation plan and will ensure that it is regularly updated and will chase any stakeholders to deliver against action points set out.

As part of the implementation, you will be required to understand the account management activity on any incumbent suppliers and where necessary actively support the markets in this, either relating to the incumbent or new supplier. You will have an understanding of the different implementation approaches required for the different distribution channels. You will work with the responsible colleagues in the UK market to ensure that the communication to the UK Retail Estate and the UK Contact Centre’s is well managed during the transition period. Manage the processes to allow retail queries and supplier changes to be updated on an on-going basis and manage any retail feedback on suppliers. You will also be the first point of contact for all escalation queries and investigate any issues with the various stakeholders (internal and external) involved.

Work with key stakeholders to get the initial training plans set up for UK staff and also establish the first incentive scheme with the new supplier. You will also be involved in the change required for the UK and Northern Region book flow, ensuring the change meets the requirements set out, testing the proposed technology and working with the insurance supplier on any new content required. For the initial transition period of a supplier or new product, you will be tracking performance on a regular basis, using sales plans as necessary. You will then make recommendations to the Senior Product Portfolio Manager to improve or solve any issues relating to the commercial performance. Involvement in establishing and setting up back-office processes with any new suppliers or products. In the case of our change to a common travel insurance provider, we have the vision, where it is possible, to have more common and standardized processes across the markets. Working with the Senior Product Portfolio Manager, you will work with internal stakeholders to achieve these new processes and ensure they are running to be able to pay and notify suppliers of sales.
