Job Description

The Head of Financial Control will be a trusted senior manager in the organization, collaborating with various global committees, in charge of 6+ entities and securing data confidentiality.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ensure strong financial controls and procedures are in place and operate effectively
  • Ensure debtors and creditors procedures are adequate and followed, with prompt action on any error
  • Ensure accurate accounting of sales, purchases, inventory, treasury, capital expenditure, and pension
  • Oversee preparation of VAT returns and Transfer prices accuracy – UK, Ireland, other export markets
  • Oversee and coordinate month end closing process
  • Review Ageing reports for Debtors and Creditors
  • Review, produce and oversee payroll journals
  • Preparation and review of the month end inventory reconciliation
  • Manage and review weekly and monthly bank reporting and reconciliations
  • Payment validation
  • Participation in cash flow forecasting
  • Modernization of cash management and reporting tools
  • Preparation of year end audit file and liaising with the company’s auditors
  • Completion of financial requirements within the agreed timetable
  • Management of 3 Senior Accountants and 1 Senior Payroll Manager offering training, coaching and support
  • Driving transformation, improvements, and automation

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deep knowledge of finance processes and a key vision for excellence, evolving along with IFRS standards
  • Qualified Accountant certificate or equivalent will be required
  • Strong management experience in multicultural environment will be a plus
  • An experienced senior finance professional who can work independently and can critically evaluate finance processes and systems to deliver improvements
  • Deep knowledge of financial systems, most importantly SAP and AX D365, POS systems, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Management systems TM1 will be a +
  • Strong financial modelling skills as well as business and data analysis skills
  • You have a positive, collaborative, and engaging approach to working with colleagues
  • Ability to multi-task, use own initiative and work autonomously when required.
  • Flexible with good time management and excellent communication skills including the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with partners in local markets, regions and at global level
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills.
