Job Description
  • Day to day bookkeeping and accounts maintenance for a variety of clients of different sizes across different industries.
  • Posting sales/purchase invoices and reconciling sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Posting receipts and payments and reconciling bank accounts.
  • Posting of month end journals and preparation of monthly management accounts, including the reconciliation and maintenance of balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare analysis and commentary for inclusion in management accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of client’s monthly/quarterly VAT returns
  • Deal with any queries which may arise from clients as primary contact for own portfolio of clients.
  • Support management and training of trainees and apprentices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Sales Invoices
  • Vat Returns
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent and AAT level 4 qualified.
  • Experience of working within an accountancy practice in similar role essential.
  • Keen to continue or pursue further accounting qualification.
  • Organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Logical and systematic approach.
  • Numerate with strong communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative and/or part of a team.
