Overseeing a small portfolio of your own, ensuring you manage your clients’ and Partner’s expectations.
This will include allocating, planning and reviewing jobs together with regular contact and meetings with clients.
Involving yourself with Business Development, including the growth and development of the respective portfolios in which you are involved, for example, by offering additional services and maintaining a commercial perspective.
Being involved in the company’s more complex accounts and or audit assignments, including seeing some of these through from planning to completion
Assisting your line Manager(s) with all necessary tasks required for the smooth running of the Partner’s portfolio and production line.
Understanding client requirements, monitoring work-in progress against internal budgets and agreed fees, billing and keeping the client manager aware of status and issues.
Mentoring and investing in the training and development of more junior members of staff.
Involving yourself with Practice Development, such as marketing and the development of internal systems and controls.
Any other duties as required by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Accounting qualification with a regulatory body such as ICAEW or ACCA.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience within practice.
Experience of leading both audits and non-audit assignments from planning to completion are essential.
Experience of complex and group audits preferable.
Experience in delegating and supervising team members on audit assignments.
Delivering results and meeting client/Partner/Manager expectations.
Experience in mentoring and training staff.
Commerciality, including good organizational capabilities.
