Job Description

You will be instrumental in providing high quality, accurate and timely reporting and management information. Essential to the role is a flexible and professional manner, the ability to communicate with all internal and external contacts and the desire to provide excellent ongoing levels of service to work colleagues and external bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial information to assist business profitability and growth
  • Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
  • Produce month end and year end journals
  • Prepare monthly management reporting pack including management accounts; variance analysis and commentary
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
  • Manage capital expenditure
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including returns being filed on time with HMRC
  • Lead, manage, guide and motivate the team
  • Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
  • Prepare & lead the Finance response to statutory audits

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful Part-time Finance Manager will be a chartered or certified accountant with a minimum of 5 years Management Accounting experience in a similar size and complexity of business together with a working knowledge of UK tax requirements.
