Job Description
  • Assist the Finance and Treasury Manager and the Management Accountant in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts for the Group.
  • Production of accurate and timely monthly and weekly results (Sales and Profitability results at overall, segmental, and individual site level) for review by the Management accountant.
  • To input into the  team in the preparation of accurate and timely budgets and forecasts
  • To produce relevant ad hoc financial information to assist Operational and Site staff with the improvement of site profitability, as requested
  • Responsible for preparation of accurate and timely weekly reporting, which will include but is not restricted to Sales, Gross profit, and payroll.
  • You will be expected to provide initial commentary on movements between prior years and budget for the Management accountant to review
  • Along with the Management accountant, you will be responsible for the production of the Managed and Tenanted division numbers as part of the Monthly Management Accounts process. Specific duties will include, but is not restricted to, posting accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, recharges, and other specific monthly journal entries.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to management accountant and Group Finance and Treasury Manager upon their review of the Managed and Tenanted monthly figures.
  • Prepare individual site profitability figures in order to be able to knowledgeably provide timely information to Operations Managers 
  • Preparation of interim and year end schedules in advance of the auditor's review and preparation of information required by senior management for external year end and half year end presentations
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations on all the major balance sheet accounts.
  • Collaborate with Accounts payable team to ensure that Bulk Invoices are posted in correctly and the deferrals across relevant periods are appropriate
  • Provide feedback to Finance and Treasury manager of controls and processes and any improvements recommended.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Studying towards or intention to study towards an accounting qualification
