Job Description
  • Development management role for development projects/land sales
  • Financial management of project budgets over £5m, ensuring internal governance and procurement procedures are followed
  • Preparation of financial reports, cash flow analysis and property appraisals to assist key decision making
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement (both internal and external) to ensure successful project delivery
  • Proactively identify opportunities within the Council’s commercial investment portfolio to optimize returns on a risk adjusted basis

You’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
  • Project Management qualification or relevant experience
  • Investment and valuation experience
  • Cash flow skills (excel) and experience in valuation packages (Kell and/or Argus)
  • Relevant professional / vocational qualification in planning and/or surveying with appropriate professional membership (RTPI / RICS etc.).
  • Full driving license or the ability to travel to capital project sites across the County
  • Relevant experience of working in service area/ related professional fields with evidence of work-related responsibilities and appropriate specialist knowledge
  • Proven ability to collate process and analyze information, ensuring all required information is maintained correctly - translating data into meaningful information which can be used for decision making. Manage information effectively and accurately
  • Experience of working with and managing stakeholders to deliver projects
  • Good organizational skills, with proven ability to priorities and co-ordinate workloads, monitor and evaluate work to ensure standards, outcomes and deadlines are achieved.
  • Substantial and demonstrable knowledge of the key drivers in managing and delivering the commercial aspects for successful projects.
