This role collaborates with other Heads of Investment Risk (Multi-Assets, Macro and Real Assets) in providing independent risk oversight. The role is responsible for leading the team that provides an accurate view of the overall risk profile of portfolios globally across Equity and Credit portfolios. In doing so, the expectation is to maintain and further develop the investment risk framework governing the market of portfolios.
Alongside this you will also provide leadership, guidance, and training to a team of risk managers and analysts, and you will be responsible for goal setting, annual performance reviews and motivation of staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Substantial experience in market risk, buy-side firm/ Asset Management industry
• Excellent knowledge of both equity and credit markets
• Ability to lead, manage and train a team of risk managers and analysts
• Knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin is a plus
• The ability to code in Python/Matlab is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships
