Job Description
  • Ownership, management of regulatory notification of IMA & IMM model changes and extensions, to the PRA, in line with relevant requirements.
  • Ownership, management, co-ordination of replies to PRA’s Information Requests, e.g. prior to regulatory visits and production of replies to their formal feedback letters, as required.
  • Implementation of IMA & IMM compliant internal model governance framework.
  • Chair and running of IMA & IMM governance forums’ meetings for the review of model performance, IMA model changes and related regulatory questions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Regulatory interaction through roles in risk management or regulatory capital policy and reporting.
  • Relevant working experience in wholesale banking and exposure to derivative products and models; a good appreciation of basic principles associated with market and counterparty risk models would be key.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory requirements and change, specifically those from Basel and relevant local regulatory authorities.
  • Governance type of work including Committee and Working Group meetings of experts to review model performance.
  • Relevant working experience in a bank, consultancy or advisory firm would be considered.
  • Outstanding and strong communication skills.
  • Exceptionally good at stakeholder engagement & management at all levels, including senior levels.
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues and stakeholders in an international team, operating across different regions and time zones.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills & proven ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to deal with colleagues at all levels across the firm.
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent academic background; advanced degree in economics or finance or related technical / quantitative discipline would be highly desirable.
