Job Description

The role has the potential to become whatever is required as the business is continuing to grow and the Finance department is still evolving.  A lot of the Finance processes, controls, and templates have been set up and implemented over the last 12 months but there are still areas to improve and implement moving forward.  This role will be instrumental in helping deliver and implement these changes over the next few months.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Full ownership of the Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet and completion of all monthly reconciliations.
  • Weekly Supplier Payment Processes and Controls, including supporting the FD in weekly cashflow forecasting
  • Ownership of the business Overheads, including the production of all monthly Accruals and Prepayments for each profit centre.
  • Ownership of Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation journals
  • Monthly Project Cash analysis and investigation including monthly reconciliation of all Work in Progress.
  • Full Project Cost Reconciliations to ensure spends are in line with budgets and have been coded correctly.  Taking ownership where adjustments are required and submission of monthly reports to the Commercial Team
  • Support the FD in all Month End Reporting functions and creation of Trend Analysis Reports
  • Liaise with external Audit and manage the annual audit process.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Accounting qualification is required – part qualified would be considered Construction industry knowledge is essential Strong systems and Excel knowledge are essential to support the monthly reporting requirements Ability to work independently but also as part of a team Previous experience of training / developing staff members Enthusiastic individual with the drive and determination to succeed and grow with the business. Study support is available and may be provided after a successful probationary period
